Considering New Election Processes
10/19/24

Hello, Everyone!

Given we are within a Presidential Election Final process,
I am mindful of our need to revise current processes
to be more fair in the future than we have been in the past.

If we are wise, as a nation, we must change our election process
to allow anyone to run – and win –
or else we cannot claim we are a "Democracy."
For what it's worth, I think we should alter our Party Process
that currently allows only members of a Political Party to vote in a Primary
to make primaries more general and allow any who have
met some initial numbers signature process to run for an office –
especially Congressional, Senate, and Presidential offices.

Then a few months later, hold a second Primary
where only the top 4 of an initial primary have won –
regardless of party affiliation.
Then hold a final election in November
with only the top 2 of the second primary allowed to run,
again, regardless of party affiliation.

And there it would be. Our Democracy could continue and
any Democrat, Republican, or Independent could win.
If you do not want to join the Republican or Democrat Party,
declare yourself as an Independent.
In a way, Independents could form a third political party
and if Independents outnumber Democrats or Republicans
in Congress, they would become the “majority” party
and become the Leaders in Congressional and Senate chambers.

Most importantly, however, election processes would
become far more fair and manageable.
Some states are already allowing that process in statewide offices,
though I do not think any are doing it for Congressional,
Senate, or Presidential offices. In my opinion,
for simplicity sakes,
all offices should comply with the same rules.
Consider it an Ideal; but feel welcome to reply.
Share this with any you wish – and I will try to do the same.
OK? We can’t change anything for this year, 2024,
but maybe by 2028, we can. Suppose?

Thanks so much for Listening!

Gently,
