Thoughts from IT'S A NEW DAY! - Part 2 of 2
11/22/2020
Hello, Everyone!
As I promised last Sunday, I am going to share the ending of my book, IT’S A NEW DAY, but in conjunction with that, I would like to wish my Dearest Nancy, my wife of only two years, a very Happy 88th. Later today, if Nancy agrees, I intend on treating Nancy to a dinner at Perkins. I know it’s not much, but I am so glad I could do that. We will just wear masks when we enter and eat our meal without masks at a well sanitized booth. Perkins always sanitizes booths in between customers.
I do believe the ultimate ideal for which we should strive in life is simply Gratitude – and pay as little attention to complaints and other modes of conflict as we can. For me, the ONLY HAPPINESS I have known in life is Gratitude For Whatever Blessings that have been at hand. Why should I need any more? Right? So, Gratitude for our Blessings will be occupying our minds while we eat.
Speaking of gratitude, I mentioned last Sunday that Nancy and I have recently been tested for COVID-19. Thankfully, we have both been found negative – and that is something else for which we should be grateful. We feel so much for the many who have not been so lucky – and hope that we can bond together as a nation to restrict COVID-19 in the future far better than we have in the past.
And while I am wishing Nancy a Happy 88th, my sister, Rita, turns 88 on the following day, Nov. 23rd. Not to forget - my great grandson, Jaelaun, begins his teenage years at the age of 13 on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26th. Happy Birthdays, All! And HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYONE!
With that, here is the ending of IT’S A NEW LIFE that I promised. I was going to feature the final essay – one called Christianity As I Know It – but that would have made this letter too long. Let me just say that if you like my songs below – which are the actual ending – consider yourself welcome to order IT’S A NEW DAY and check out the final chapter, Christianity As I Know It, on your own. OK? Just put in my name, Francis Bessler, in an Amazon search bar and browse until you find it. Or you can link to it via my writings website – una-bella-vita.com. And, of course, you can request a copy from Nancy and I. However you choose, consider IT’S A NEW DAY and all I have written to be gifts from the two of us – Nancy Shaw, my current wife, and me.
Thanks!
Bye For Now!
Stay Safe – and Be In Touch!
As Nancy would say, LOVE TO YOU ALL!
Gently,
Francis William Bessler –
and supportive 88 year old wife, Nancy Shaw
P.S. So far, Nancy is recovering from her heart procedure of Nov. 6th and progressing slowly. The Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado – where she had the mitral-clip procedure – assigned a physical therapy company called Encompass of Laramie to help Nancy get back to par, so to speak. We have met with a few of the nurses of Encompass so far – and will probably continue with their therapies until at least 2021. We will see how it goes.
Now, Enjoy my songs as you can. Find Paradise – and Peace - in whatever way you think it’s feasible – be it my way as defined below or otherwise; but I do hope you find it. Good Luck to us All!
Bye Again!
Paradise, Paradise

REFRAIN:
Paradise, Paradise –
it seems so right to me.
Paradise, Paradise –
can you tell me what it would be?
It’s easy, My Friend, to comprehend.
It’s Innocence, Simplicity, and Integrity.
If God’s outside, we must seek to please,
but if inside, we must be pleased.
It depends upon where we place our God
that determines how we will trod.
Refrain.
Innocence means not to impose,
not just to not be imposed upon.
It’s treating everyone like they’re Divine
regardless of any wrong.
Refrain.
Simplicity means I should act the same,
regardless of who is around.
It’s regarding the Nature of which I’m a part,
like no shame in it can be found.
Refrain.
Integrity means I’m Part of a Whole
that is Blessed completely throughout.
If the Whole is Holy, so is each Part,
and the Whole is filled with God now.
Refrain.
So with these three wonderful qualities,
Paradise is given birth.
It shouldn’t matter where I am.
So, why can’t there be Paradise on Earth?
Refrain (3).
Peace On Earth

REFRAIN:
There can be Peace on Earth –
for all the world to see.
There can be Peace on Earth –
but it must begin with me.
There’ll be Peace on Earth –
when we all see Divinity.
But there can be no peace –
without me.
What is peace, my friends?
It’s knowing that you belong;
and it’s knowing that we’re all the same.
That is peace, my friends
as we’re singing in this song;
and it’s not holding anyone to blame.
Refrain.
What is peace, my friends?
It’s loving what we are;
and it’s knowing that all life is a gift.
That is peace, my friends
and if we’re ever to stop war,
we must believe that all life is blessed.
Refrain.
What is peace, my friends?
It’s failure to hold a grudge;
and it’s forgiving to be forgiven.
That is peace, my friends
and it’s the only way to judge
our way into that lovely state of Heaven.
Refrain.
What is peace, my friends?
It's knowing all Creation is right;
and it's knowing everything is good.
That is peace, my friends
and if we're ever to live in the light,
we must realize
All's One Big Brotherhood.
Refrain (several times).
