BE FREE!

Be Free!)

Who does not want to be free? I know of no one. Do you? In my opinion, it is very easy to be free. At least, it has been - and is - for me; though I must admit that I am only relatively free as I suppose all of us who are free are. None of us are absolutely free because none of us live in an ideal world.
For me, freedom is only "living without constraint." That is all it is. Everyone who is free on this Earth has to put up with some constraints; and that is why none of us are absolutely free; however, some freedom is still "absolutely" wonderful. Isn't it? I do believe the mature person will take delight in the freedom - or freedoms - he or she has - and not pine about that which he or she might be missing. Perhaps to a great extent, it is a mind over matter thing. Each of us can truly be as free as we allow ourselves to be.
My Own Freedom
In the song below, I offer: When I go outside and look into the sky,
I know that all is Divine. No matter how far - or how near. The stars out there make me cheer. In a way, that is my "prescription for freedom." Knowing that All is Divine is the basis of my freedom. The reason for that is, if one believes that all is Divine - or Holy - then one has nowhere to go but where one is to find satisfaction. Satisfaction = Freedom.
I do believe it is as simple as that; and if one lacks a sense that All is Divine, then one is left with having to always be on the lookout for satisfaction being in something or someplace else. Accordingly, many live their lives having to believe in another world in order to "find satisfaction."
Personally, I think that most in history - from the legendary Adam & Eve to the current day - have had and have no sense of being satisfied with the life that is here; and that is why Adam & Eve and all fellow believers - have led lives of looking for meaning in something other than themselves - or in something other than the Nature of which they are a part.
Oh, they excuse themselves - and have excused themselves - for choosing to believe that life is not worthy as it is by assigning sin to it; but where is the evidence of such sin? I am talking life itself now - not in how Abraham or Francis approached - and approach - it. I mean, look at life itself - and tell me where is the sin? Personally, I cannot see it; and that's probably why I have found myself "satisfied with life" and "free" to enjoy it.
I do believe that those of us who are truly free look to our natures - and Nature Itself - for answers. In not having assigned some false sin to it, we can see clearly what it has to tell us. Sin - or accusation of sin - confuses the picture entirely by compelling us to look outside of ourselves and outside of Nature in general for a sense of worth; but if one looks at life for what life itself has to offer and does not impugn it with accusations of defectiveness - and that is what sin is - life being defective - then one is "free" to know that there is "salvation" in life itself. How easy can it be?
Take a moment and look at your hand. Where is the sin in it? Look at the mystery of it - and tell me that it has sin. If we are truly honest, we can know that all who believe that life itself is somehow "indecent" are not looking at life the way it is. If you consider life somehow indecent, where is the indecency in a hand? And if there is no indecency in a hand, how can there be indecency in any other part of me?
Now look at your hand and make a fist while paying no attention to the grandeur of the hand itself. If you can do that, then you can use that "indecent" hand - or fist - to pummel someone; but if you do that, it is not the hand that is indecent, but yourself who has refused to see the hand as the absolute miracle it really is; and as you see your hand, in the same way you will see everything else.
Our Freedom
So, what is it that you want to see - a sinful hand or a sacred hand? Your answer will decide if you can ever find true freedom in this world; but do keep in mind - it is up to each of us to decide which kind of hand we choose to embrace - and which kind of body. Do we choose to see our hands and body as sinful - or sacred? Our freedom depends upon our answer. As my song says below: Everyone can be free
if they want to be. There's nothing to it - to be free - just know that all have the same sanctity.
Let me leave you with the full song below. Enjoy it as you will; and thanks for listening!
Be Free!

REFRAIN:
I'm free. I'm free. I'm free.
I'm as free as thee
if you, too, are free.
Everyone can be free
if they want to be.
There's nothing to it - to be free -
just know that all have the same sanctity.
When I go outside and look into the sky,
I know that all is Divine.
No matter how far - or how near.
The stars out there make me cheer.
Refrain.
When I look at life, I'm so amazed -
and sometimes I feel like I'm in a daze.
The beauty of it all - including myself -
often leaves me a bit overwhelmed.
Refrain.
Everything's so clear if I open my eyes.
Nothing in Nature lives contrived.
I think the key to being free
is to know I'm no better than what I see.
Refrain.
Imagine you're on a planet in outer space.
Why need to go elsewhere to find grace?
The same is true for us on Earth.
Here is where we should find our worth.
Refrain.
And when I die, it will be the same for me.
Wherever I go - will be the same Divinity.
I'll be satisfied wherever I go
because the same sanctity I will know.
Refrain.
So, my friend, come along with me
if you really want to be free.
Just know that we are all Divine;
and you'll be free for the rest of time.
Refrain.
End Refrain to follow.
END REFRAIN:
Be Free! Be Free! Be Free!
I'm as free as thee
if you, too, are free.
Everyone can be free
if they want to be.
There's nothing to it - to be free -
just know that all have the same sanctity.
Yes, my friend - come and join with me -
and
Be Free! Be Free! Be Free!
Be Free! Be Free! Be Free!
