From Ron: Random Thoughts on Cancer
Will, as I read your theory I will comment on parts of it - OK?
A dentist friend of mine caught cancer in 1981 ,
I believe many of the cancers cannot be caught because they are not caused by an organism like a virus or bacteria. There are exceptions of course. The HPV organism can trigger cancer.
If you really want to worry about something, consider the prion.
I would choose to keep my ideas to myself?
Never keep quiet.
Of course I think they are valid arguments, regardless of any personal scientific understanding or lack thereof. Otherwise, I would not take the time nor the trouble to relate them.
Good!
First, cellular division is due to genetics if it’s a violation of a genetic mechanism that stimulates excessive division; and second, a deranged and sick cell can attack or immobilize and overcome a healthy cell.
I think “genetics” is the wrong word to use here. I believe cell division is the basis of life – created or evolved.
I don’t think the genetics of a cell dictates the division of a cell. Rather, it’s the quantity and quality of cellular food available, so to speak, that determines cellular growth and cellular division.
OK
If the traditional explanation of cancer is correct, it seems to me that a primary question to be answered is: what causes the defect? The primary question should not be: what causes the alleged defects to act as they do?
I think that is what researchers are looking for. They have observed that sunlight leads to skin cancer, smoking leads to lung cancer, talcum powder leads to uterine cancer. Sometimes I wonder why prostate cancer? Not enough sex I suppose, since it happens to older men who usually have less.
How can we find a cure if we don’t even know the cause?
Your best question!
Certain cells may look different and even act different, but that doesn’t make them bad.
I think the idea of bad is based on what cancerous growths do to people.
That which it might amount to is that at least one of the causes of cancer may be an overheating of the body or any given organ in which cancer has developed.
Maybe.
prostrate
prostate
The three biggest killers to set up cancer could be excessive exposure to the sun or heat, restrictive clothing or sweat wear, and long hot baths or saunas - although as long as the body is adequately cooled after being subjected to excessive heat, I suppose that no long term problems should ensue. Ideally, however, it should be clear that avoiding too much heat altogether would be the far wiser course; and that can best be achieved by wearing nothing at all.
Do nudists have less cancer?
Today it was 71 in Denver and 57 in Laramie – are we better off?
I have heard that Scandinavians are some of the healthiest people – they use saunas.
Where should we go from here? Demonstrate the truth, I guess.
Good question. From hearsay, I believe many cancer researchers look for commonalities among people with cancer. Do you smoke? Do you have lung cancer? Yes and Yes go together more often than No and Yes. So stop smoking.
Use sunscreen, don’t use talcum powder, be careful with weed killers, etc.
And finally – have more sex.
