MARCH ON!
3/1/2020

Hey, Everybody!

I know there are lots of reasons to feel down
due to rather terrible world events going on and all,
but let me bypass all of that and wish us all a
HAPPY MARCH!

On the bright side, somewhat, in January,
Nancy and I shared a copy of my book on the lives
of Saint Francis of Assisi and William Tell -
I mean, William Penn. That book of only 188 pages
is called IMPRESSIONS OF FRANCIS & WILLIAM.
if you did not get a copy - and want one -
let us know. OK?

In February, Nancy & I shared a DVD of our wedding
of April 28th, 2018. We call that one
CELEBRATING LIFE - With a Wedding Thrown In.
We sent that out to a few only because it is more personal
than the books I write - and have written;
but if you were not one of the few recipients -
and would like that DVD - let us know and we will
try to send you a copy. If you are one of our Laramie citizens,
we can give you a copy. Just let us know. Alright?

And on a strictly personal note, in March, I will be continuing
a project I started last Fall in trying to make available
several amateur DVDs I have produced in the last 20 years
on my main theme of what I call Divine Naturism.
Who knows how it will go, if it goes at all,
but I am currently trying to work with an online medium
called Media On Demand that can produce - or reproduce -
DVD programs submitted to them online.
There is a lot of detail involved and I am trying to meet all those details,
but maybe by the end of March, I will have succeeded
to put out my first of six or so programs that deal with my
favored theme of Divine Naturism. Time will tell.
For what it's worth, I intend on supplying our wedding DVD
as the last of a series of six or so I hope to share.

"Divine Naturism" is a simple idea that says that an Infinite God
must be IN everything and everyone. I came up with the name -
or title - in the early '80s as a way to define my basic belief in life.
I realize that it is an idea that may have little appeal, but the little soul
I am, I figure it is worth sharing. Let those who care to listen,
listen, and let those who don't ignore it all.
That's fair! Don't you agree?

Be that as it may, let us all "March On" in our own ways
and try to do the best we can with what we have
available to us. Let me finish this little letter with a
song I wrote a few years ago called THE MYSTERY OF GOD.
Enjoy it - or pass it by - as you wish.

Thanks!

Be in touch!

Gently,

Nancy Shaw & Francis William Bessler,
wife and husband.

THE MYSTERY OF GOD

(A Song or a Poem with Sung Refrain)

By

Francis William Bessler

Laramie, Wyoming

3/27/2007

REFRAIN:

The mystery of God is all about.

The mystery is within.

The mystery of God is all about.

That’s why we can have no sin.

The mystery of God is all about.

That’s why I sing this hymn.

The mystery of God makes me shout:

I’m glad I can have no sin.

People think God created the world;

and I believe it’s true.

I believe God created all the boys and girls

and that It created me and you.

But I think people fail to realize

what happened is happening now.

Creation didn’t just happen in the night.

It’s a process that keeps on somehow.

Refrain.

We are not really created notions

that were finished at a start.

Inside each of us is constant motion

that finds its center in the heart.

But all that motion feeds on mystery

and that motion in us should commit

each of us as we make up history

to embrace our wonder with full consent.

Refrain.

Pastor Billy claims he wants to die

so he can see God face to face.

But Billy doesn’t seem to realize

his God is really in the human race.

God is not some person standing over there,

begging for our applause.

God is the Presence in all, everywhere.

If we know ourselves, we will know God.

Refrain.

Look at a flower and watch it grow

from just a seed into a bloom.

Watch it closely and you can know

how the mystery is happening in you.

And, in time, the flower will die

and new seeds will fall to the ground.

It’s a mystery, but it’s full of light

and in it, we can all be found.

Refrain.

So, when people say God created me

and maybe set me on my way,

I tell them I beg to disagree

because I’m being created every day.

And in my growth – and even in my death,

God is the motion that sets me free.

Like the flower rises with new breath,

that is the way it will happen with me.

Refrain (2).

ENDING:

The mystery of God makes me shout:

I’m glad I can have no sin.

I’m glad I can have no sin.

I’m glad I can have no sin.
