HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! - 8TH BOOK DONE!

3/17/2018

Hello, Everyone!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! I had green on earlier today, but nothing now. If you come over now, you can pinch me! LOL!

Hey, I just completed my final book (of 8) called IMPRESSIONS OF FRANCIS & WILLIAM by signing off on the final proof copy I just received. Like I have said before, it is comprised of two mini speculative biographies I wrote in 1994 - one on St. Francis of Assisi who lived in the 13th Century and one on William Penn who lived in the 18th Century. My book has to go through some finalization procedures by my online demand publisher, Create Space, but it should be available for the picking via Amazon.com by mid April or so.

How about that? I am DONE! That is, my I am done with writing - and publishing. Now I have to research promotion and carry on as I can with that. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

I am going to leave you with a selection of the front end of my final book. Like usual, read it if you wish - and skip it if you wish too. I consider myself extremely privileged to know that I am a student in life - and that is probably why I - or anyone - is here on this lovely planet, Earth. My writings have been an instrument for me in that regard; but considering that we are all "students" of life - even if we do not realize it - hey, that which one of us students does for himself - or herself - maybe other "students" can enjoy as well; and that is why I have chosen to publish my ideas at all. I don't think I will ever stop learning. What a wonderful way to go! Don't you agree?

All is Well! St. Patrick may have enjoyed my musings about a couple of his fellow "pioneers of the spirit" - St. Francis and William Penn. Who knows? One or the other of them might be reading this right now. Who knows?

Bye for Now! If you haven't pinched anyone yet today for not showing green, you can at least give them a hug. Enjoy as you can the beginning of IMPRESSIONS OF FRANCIS & WILLIAM! See it below.

INTRODUCTION

Hello! Just finished my 7th book, which was entitled: IT'S A NEW DAY! So, it's time to start another; however, like the last one, this one is mostly a collection - or recollection - of past writings. Accordingly, I guess, I am not so much "starting" a new writing as "finishing" something I started long time ago - in 1994.

You see, I found myself away from my home in Georgia for an entire year, working as a consultant computer programmer/analyst in Pennsylvania. Because I had a lot of time on my hands outside of work hours, I studied about two of history that I wanted to know more about.

The first was one St. Francis of Assisi. The book I selected to review his life will be introduced in my Introduction of the work that I wrote summarizing his life; but my own summarization is much more than that for me. In learning more about my "friend," Francis of Assisi, whose life spanned the end of the 12th Century and the beginning of the 13th Century, I decided to comment about what I learned as well. Accordingly, I wrote what I think of as a "speculative biography" of Francis of Assisi, with the end product being as much about myself as Francis of Assisi.

After finishing my "speculative biography" of Francis of Assisi, I decided that since I was living in Pennsylvania at the time that it would be good to pursue a history of one William Penn - after whom Pennsylvania received its name. In this work, my "speculative biography" of William Penn, whose life spanned the end of the 17th Century and beginning of the 18th Century, will be featured as well as the previous one on Francis of Assisi.

Then in 2006, I decided to rewrite both of my essay works on Francis and William by making a read of them a bit easier. I did that by compartmentalizing each work by breaking each into sections and naming each section for what I thought it covered.

This work is a combination of my "rewritten" works of 2006. I will let each of those works speak for themselves, as it were. OK?

In general, however, I believe it very useful to read about the lives of others because it helps to lend some narrative to your own. We are all the same in the basics of life. So by learning about another, in some degree, we also learn about ourselves. I think the Francis of Assisi, Italy is basically the same as this Francis of Laramie, Wyoming, U.S.A. So by learning about Francis of Assisi, I learn more about myself as well; and for that reason, it's good to know about others - be that other a known like Francis of Assisi or William Penn - or an unknown like myself.

Anyway, Thanks for coming along! Enjoy my effort as you can and will. This is the 8th book I have written as a commentary about life as I see it. If you like this one, you may like one or several of my previous works as well. See BOOKS BY THE AUTHOR at end for a listing of the books I have written. For what it's worth, I intend for this to be my last book; but I must admit I have said that before. Time will tell if I have said it now for the last time.

Before we proceed, however, I would like to dedicate this effort to my dear friend, Nancy Shaw. Nancy and I have lived together since March of 2012 - following the passing of her husband, Joce, at the age of 88 from Parkinson's Disease.

Joce Shaw & I encountered one another now and then when we walked around the neighborhood and met one another on a path. It was through Joce that I met his wife, Nancy (born 11/22/1932). I do not know why, but Joce always referred to me as "Clarence." Maybe that was because Clarence sounds like Francis; but for whatever reason he called me Clarence, I went along with it and never corrected him. Nancy would later tell me that when Joce saw me walking past their place, he would say - "There goes Clarence." Hey, with the Shaw's at least, I gained quite a reputation - for being someone I really wasn't. Of course, that is not true. Regardless of name, be it Francis or Clarence, I am the same one. Names do not change what one really is. Do they?

Anyway, I dedicate this "final" book to Nancy Shaw. Without Nancy, it is very unlikely that I would have published any of the books I have, let alone eight of them. As it happened, in 2012 I decided to create a writings website (see below) in which I intended to share my writings, but Nancy did not think I should stop with that medium. She argued that a website might be nice, but she was one who likes to sit down and read a book as a hard copy, not something to scroll on a screen. I am glad now you asked, Dear Nancy; and I am so very happy I could oblige. I do hope you like at least some of that writing.

All is Well that ends Well, it is said; but far more importantly, All is Well that Goes Well. Never mind the end. The end will only be a succession of what went before. So, if we get life right as we live it like it is a life we actually pursued for its own worth, then I think that life will end as well as it went well; but it is up to each of us to find our truth - or a truth that satisfies.

With that,

ONWARD WITH THE TALES OF FRANCIS & WILLIAM -

AFTER WHICH WILL FOLLOW FOUR SONGS -

AT LEAST SOME OF WHICH FRANCIS & WILLIAM

MIGHT APPRECIATE IF THEY WERE LIVING TODAY -

AND WHO KNOWS? IF REINCARNATION IS REALITY,

AS I BELIEVE IT IS, INDEED, BOTH FRANCIS AND

WILLIAM ARE PROBABLY LIVING TODAY.

Good Luck to us All!

Gently,

Divine Naturist - or Naturalist,
