HAPPY EASTER/HAPPY RESURRECTION!
4/1/2018
HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!
Just to take a moment and wish everyone well and to urge you all to take whatever notice you want of this day of Easter, but to take some measure of it.
Personally, I love Easter because of the notion of "Resurrection," but not just of Jesus, but of my own as well. I do believe that as it happened to Jesus, in a way, it will happen to us all. We will all "rise again" in that we will all continue after death, but the question is, how will we continue? Ah, that is the question, isn't it?
For one, I do not know the details of my upcoming "resurrection," but I do believe that in general, I will "rise again" as the same soul I was when I lived this life. What a wonderful belief that is because it puts my entire eternity in my hands. Many want their "eternity" to be in the hands of another, but not me. No sir! I want it to be in my hands - especially so I can manage it myself. If I put it in someone else's hands, then I will get what they give me. I want what I can find myself because I think that is the most secure way to go. All I have to do to live in peace in subsequent life is to live in peace in this one - and presto, what will be will be what was. Pretty Simple! Isn't it?
I'm reminded of a beautiful verse in THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS that says: Jesus said: The old man in days will ask a child of seven days about the place of life and he will live. I really love that verse because it somewhat confirms my notion that a next life is only a continuation of a past life. When I am old and about to die, hey, just look ahead at a child - and there I will be; but the kind of child I will be will be the same old man that I was. Makes sense, huh?
I could get into more, but I am going to leave it at that. If you wish, you can share with me what Easter means to you; but whatever it means to you, Have a really Happy Easter - and rest of your life - and lives!
Bye for Now!
Gently,
