Let Ukraine Be A Lesson
SUBJECT: LET UKRAINE BE A LESSON!
Like so many, I am amazed at what is happening in Ukraine – which I reduce to a horrible misunderstanding among Christians. How can it be that one “so called Christian nation,” Russian Orthodox Christian Russia, can dare to allow its armies exploit and plunder a neighboring Christian nation, Ukrainian Orthodox Christian Ukraine? How can it be when it should be clear to any Christian that their leader, Jesus Christ, taught meekness, not viciousness? How can it be?
Yet, it is happening! If Christians can’t get along with each other, why should we expect non-Christian sects get along with Christians? My lesson in the current Ukrainian debacle is to learn from it – and then somehow change its course by starting to embrace a TRUE CHRISTIANITY. In the end, be meek like Christ and do not join the non-meek anymore.
Russia, if you hear me somehow, lay down your arms and refuse to admire and obey a vicious minded leader. Be real Christians and obey Jesus, not Putin. Jesus taught kindness to all. Obey that injunction. Putin, go within and realize you are not to lead a nation doing unkind things. As a fellow Christian, you are here to obey the example of Jesus – and then encourage your nation to do likewise. Be kind and be content with your borders and do not infringe on others.
Of course, it is unlikely Putin will read this little blurb, but I will be adding it as a blog to my author’s website – una-bella-vita.com – giving it a little more availability to Ukrainian and Russian counterparts. Who knows who might see it as long as it is out there for the world to see?
Importantly, however, I should obey the real Christian message: Be kind and be content with your borders and don’t infringe on others while opening those borders for others to share and enjoy.
