A "Pastoral" joke
3/12/2018
Hello, Everyone!
A friend just passed me a joke that I am passing on. Pastor Nathan, you may enjoy it; and everyone else might too. See it below.
Speaking of Pastor Nathan of our local Trinity Lutheran Church, Nancy and I met with him again last week to further plan our Celebrate Life Wedding on April 28th. Let's just say, our plans are coming along. We need to select some 7 original songs out of an early assortment of 18 that we are considering. Nancy & I will be doing that soon. Hope you can come! Let us know if you plan on it. OK?
All is Well. For what it's worth, today I approved the interior of my next and final book - IMPRESSIONS OF FRANCIS & WILLIAM. We, my publisher and I, need to do some finalizing steps, but, hey, we are almost done. This book is based on two mini bios I wrote in 1994 - about St. Francis of Assisi and William Penn. By April, if all goes well, I should be done with it. I will let you know when it is available. Alright? Of course, this book, like all of my books, will only interest some; but if you are one who might be interested, standby. Like I say, I am almost done.
For now, here is "Bernie's joke." Thanks, Bernie!
Gently,
Francis William Bessler &
Nancy Shaw

A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door.
Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote ‘Revelation 3:20' on the back of it and stuck it in the door.
When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, ‘Genesis 3:10.'
Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins 'Behold, I stand at the door and knock.' Genesis 3:10 reads, ‘I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked.'
Remember when the funniest jokes were the clean ones? They still are!
