Hello, Family & Friends!
I will try to keep this short, but on this Labor Day, I’d like to share something the “worker” in me has produced. All that I have written in my life have been “labors of love” – and much of what I have done have become available to any who might find them interesting. Of course, not everyone will find what another finds interesting, interesting; but, on the other hand, one should try to share what some might find interesting – and like Jesus said multiple times in his life, let him who has ears, hear – and let others who might find a “work of love” boring, skip it. Pretty simple, huh?

50 years ago, In 1974, I worked on a spiritual novel I called NEVER BE ASHAMED TO LOVE. My oldest daughter, Anita, was only 4 when I started it and was 5 when I finished it. It was about a young couple I named David & Belinda who decided they could “rationalize” to the meaning of life. So they set aside a weekend to discuss ideas that came to mind – and see if they could accomplish finding the meaning of life on their own by simply discussing it between themselves. They decided to ask Grampa and Gramma to baby sit their 5 year old son, Brian, to allow them to pursue their task without interruption.

Then they went about it – and though they confused themselves and their author on many subjects, they ended up feeling good about their efforts. Well, I went on to publish their story – and printed 1,000 copies that I have tried to share down thru the ages; but in 2001, I decided I needed to write a follow up to their story and have them share it with a few friends and neighbors. I changed their names from David & Belinda to Tom & Molly to provide some new perspective.

Then I had Tom & Molly and young son, Kerry, intersect with some close friends, Joe & Liz, and their 7 year old daughter, Elise – and widowed neighbor, Sam, to come together and continue to “rationalize” life. I based Sam partly on my neighbor at the time, Bob, who had recently lost his wife, Louise, to diabetes. I called Louise by the name of Nellie. In my story, I had Sam being visited by his teenage grandson, Tony, and Tony’s new girlfriend, Julie. They all interact to realize “Heaven On Earth.”

Of course, my Sam & Nellie, were only partly like Bob & Louise, but a story teller has the right to exaggerate. Right? Anyway, in 2001 I wrote a follow up Part 2 to my earlier story of NEVER BE ASHAMED TO LOVE. I called my new complete makeup by the title of ALL’S WELL WITH THE WORLD. Then in 2015, I published their story along with 4 others I have written over time – all short stories – in a book I called 5 HEAVEN ON EARTH STORIES.

All of my characters believe as their author – that all life is Sacred and that our main purpose in life should be to live life like that is so and find Heaven On Earth. The main reason I am writing this letter is because I just finished reading my first story – NEVER BE ASHAMED TO LOVE – yesterday. I had not read it for a few years; and it is always nice to review an old work, know what I mean?

Again, only some will find such a story interesting; but if you are among the probable few, I am so happy to “promote” my book, 5 HEAVEN ON EARTH STORIES – along with many other “works of love” I have written down thru the years. If interested, order whatever “work of love” you may want on this Labor Day via one of my websites listed above. OK? THANKS!

With that, my David & Belinda, and all who joined them in various escapades, wish you all a Happy Labor Day!

Be in touch as you like!

All My Love,

Francis William Bessler (Frank, Will)
