GOODBYE, BILLY (Graham)!
2/23/2018
Hello, Everyone!
Just wrote another "letter to the editor" to our local, Laramie Boomerang. For what it's worth, find it below. Again, I can't be sure that the Boomerang will feature it, but it does not hurt to try.
All is Well! We are enjoying the Olympics quite a lot. How about you?
Be in touch as you like!
Gently,
Francis William Bessler &

Subject: GOODBYE, BILLY!
With the recent passing of the Reverend Billy Graham on Feb. 21st at the ripe old age of 99, if I may, I'd like to share some parting thoughts.
To be truthful, I think, Billy saw God according to old Judaic ways, so to speak - and I saw - and see - God in a much different way; but both Billy and I have been committed in our own ways to our various belief in God. Billy's "Judaic God," in my view of things, is more a "god" that a "God" in that a "god" is one that is separated from those who serve him - whereas a Real God is One Which cannot be separated from those who serve Him - or Her or It - because a Real God must be Infinite - meaning that God must be everywhere and in everything.
Billy loved to say that he was anxious to die because he wanted to "see God face to face" - and I guess he thought he had to die to do that; but I have long realized that no one can "see God face to face" - be it in life or after death - simply because an Infinite God cannot have a face. In my view, the way any of us can "see God" is to see God in all of Creation simply because a Creation cannot be without an Infinite God. No one has to die to view Creation - and therefore, God within it - including the Reverend Billy Graham. Do they? Or so, I Believe!
But, Go In Peace, Billy - and as it is said: Rest In Peace!
