All Is Well After An Interesting Election!
11/9/2016
Hello, Everyone,
Believe it or not, I am in a very good mood, even though my candidates for political office were defeated yesterday, beginning with the Presidential race. I was for Hillary and hoped she would win and voted for her, but it did not happen. Did it? Too bad! Oh, how I was looking forward to our first female President. Too many guys and some gals wanted otherwise, I guess.
But it's OK - with capital letters! I just wrote to a good friend who was pining about the election results. I told my friend, Tobey, in the end, the only thing that should matter is my soul. As long as that remains in my control, nothing else really matters; and I am one who believes that each of us should be in TOTAL CONTROL of our soul. Elections matter, but not near as much as being in control of your own soul. That is the way I look at it.
Having said that, I have had a lot to say about the soul and being your own master in my life; and I will continue my "spiritual punditry" in that vein. As a matter of fact, I just submitted my next "spiritual punditry" article for publication in our local paper, The Laramie Boomerang. Kayla, the editor, tells me it is likely to print December 4th - one day after I turn 75. How about that?
Religion, like Politics, is all personal opinion to me; and I am very grateful I have been able to share some of my opinions in this life. My next opinion essay is called THE GENDER OF GOD. For what it's worth, I will share it with you sometime close to its printing, December 4th, unless Kayla juggles her schedule for some reason and delays my article till later. It happens.
So, let us get on with it. Let us congratulate Mr. Trump and Mr. Pence for becoming our next Presidential team. Let us wish them well. Who knows? "The Donald," as some of his friends call him, may turn out to be just what the doctor ordered. Time will tell!
As for Hillary, I am sure she will do alright in full political retirement - if she chooses to do so. Who knows? She might even choose to become a "spiritual pundit." Time will tell.
Be in touch!
Gently,
