PEACE ON EARTH/HAPPY LABOR DAY!
9/3/2018

Hello, Everyone!

How is your Labor Day going? Ours is going just fine, but no different than any other day. I did finish reading my book, LOVING EVERYTHING, though; and I think it is worth it to share that ending. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. Of course, that is a recommendation without prejudice. Right? LOL! I will include the ending below, abbreviated slightly to shorten it. Peruse it as you choose.

But HAPPY LABOR DAY, Everyone! My wife, Nancy, and I will be spending it in peace - simply because we are at peace; and that in itself should define what peace is all about. Don't you think?

Bye for now!

Gently,

THE END!
By

And so we have finally arrived at "The End" - of this book - and to the end of a series of five books I will have written over the span of a life. You can review those "five" books at the end of this book; but I must admit that the entire idea of an "end" really suggests a "beginning" to me.

When I "end" this book, I will only "begin" another - or at least, begin something else. Right? As I write this "end," I am content and happy. Accordingly, as I "begin" whatever I will do next, guess what? I will probably be content and happy. Right? As I end, I will begin; and that is true about life in general, too. Isn't it?

I am reminded of a verse in one of my favorite books - THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THOMAS. In Verse 18, it is written: The disciples said to Jesus: Tell us how our end will be. Jesus said: Have you then discovered the beginning so that you inquire about the end? Blessed is he who shall stand at the beginning, and he shall know the end, and he shall not taste death.

Does that not say it quite well? What is an "end" - but a beginning of something else? So, given that you are comfortable with how you are "ending" something, you should have no fear of "beginning" a next adventure in life. If, however, you are sad and spiteful and you are "ending" your life - or another's life - in sadness, then really all you should expect is to "begin" a next adventure in the same way. The End is a Beginning! Or at least, that is how I see it.

When I begin my next adventure, be it in this life or a next one, I want to begin it smiling and embracing it as a gift - for whatever it will be, it will be a gift. Of course, if I do not see something as a gift - though it actually is - then I will treat it like it is not a gift. That is just the way it is. Right? If I believe my life to be a burden, so be it. It will be so; and if I should think this life is a burden, then it is likely that is how I will begin my next life - by seeing and treating that adventure as a burden.

It is all so simple. Isn't it? Love your life this instant - and you will likely love it in a next instant - or a next life. Hate your life in this instant - and you will likely hate it in a next instant - or a next life. We inherit what we are - from one moment to another moment and from one life to another life. Thus, it just makes sense to get a current moment right in order to continue that moment into another moment - and to get a current life right in order to continue that life into another life. What you begin - you continue and inherit. So, don't begin anything you would not want to continue - and inherit.
Makes a lot of sense. Right?

A Final Goodbye
- With a Song of Peace -

Well, Folks, it's time for this Nature Boy to say Goodbye. Let me finish with a song - one that I wrote in 2007 about Peace on Earth that I called Peace On Earth.

I think there is no doubt that all of us want peace - even those who are violent minded among us. Even the violent minded want peace. It's just that peace is something you have to know to have, so to speak. So many in this world simply do not know peace and therefore have a hard time realizing it. Then one without peace dies and is born again - lacking peace once again in his or her heart because his or her past failed to realize it.

In a way, I believe, we can only know what we experience; and if we do not "experience" a quality in our life, then neither can we know it. Peace is one of those things one has to experience to know; and because so many never experience it - or sense they can have it without struggle - neither do they know it. As offered above, we inherit what we have known - not what we might have want to have known, know what I mean?

Why is there so much anger in the world? I think much of it is due to souls having lived before in anger, having died in that anger, having been reborn in that anger - and presto - lots and lots and lots of anger in the world. Anger is simply living without peace. That is all it is. Anger is simply the result of a sense of emptiness. People do not know why they are angry. They just are - because they do not know peace.
And why do people not know peace? It's mostly because they have been taught that peace is a reward given by someone else - or offered by someone else. It is the standard of the world in many, many ways. If you want peace, follow me and I will lead you to it. Obey me - and peace will be your reward.

But peace is not a reward as much as it is a way of life. One does not set out to find peace down the road someplace or in another venue. One has to attain peace where one is, knowing that peace is only recognizing that the world is not sinful, but graceful. The world is graceful because it is "full of grace." But so many of us are taught that the world is full of sin and that the world somehow lacks grace - leading us to believe that if we are to find grace, we cannot find it in the world.

Well, I think looking for grace in other than the world is to never find it because in our blindness we walk right by it and never recognize it. If we do not see grace in a flower or a tree or a bunny or a chirping bird, then it is unlikely we will ever see it in ourselves because we are really like that flower or that tree or that bunny or that chirping bird. It is insisting that we are somehow better than all those things we pass in life that causes us to never attain peace in life because Peace is only experiencing just how "the same" we all are.

Or so, I Believe! How about you?

THANKS, EVERYONE!

Peace On Earth
A song
by

7/31/2007; 4th verse added 9/26/2015

REFRAIN:
There can be Peace on Earth –
for all the world to see.
There can be Peace on Earth –
but it must begin with me.
There’ll be Peace on Earth –
when we all see Divinity.
But there can be no peace –
without me.

What is peace, my friends?
It’s knowing that you belong
and it’s knowing that we’re all the same.
That is peace, my friends
as we’re singing in this song;
and it’s not holding anyone to blame.
Refrain.

What is peace, my friends?
It’s loving what we are
and it’s knowing that all life is a gift.
That is peace, my friends
and if we’re ever to stop war,
we must believe that all life is blessed.
Refrain.

What is peace, my friends?
It’s failure to hold a grudge
and it’s forgiving to be forgiven.
That is peace, my friends
and it’s the only way to judge
our way into that lovely state of Heaven.
Refrain

What is peace, my friends?
It's knowing all Creation is right;
and it's knowing everything is good.
That is peace, my friends
and if we're ever to live in the light,
we must realize all's one big Brotherhood.
Refrain (several times).
