Happy STRAWBERRY SUNDAE HOLIDAY!
7/4/2016

Hello, Everyone,

Hope you are having a wonderful 4th of July, but I would like to tell you about another holiday that is happening very soon. On July 7th, we will be celebrating a "Strawberry Sundae Holiday." Did you know of that one? I am sure we all have something special to celebrate. So why not consider having a good ole Strawberry Sundae and paying attention to some special event - on July 7th?

As for me, it just so happens that July 7th is a special "holiday" for me and my family. It was 50 years ago on that date that Dad passed - due to a pedestrian/auto accident. Dad was the pedestrian and someone driving a truck fell asleep at the wheel and ran over Dad. Now, I know such a thing doesn't seem to be something to celebrate, but going beyond the details, I think it was a very good day for Dad - simply because it was the beginning of a new life in the beyond. If you believe as I do that death is only like crossing a road and going from one side to the other, hey, if you have lived a good life, crossing over to the other side can only mean CELEBRATION. Right?

So, my friend, Nancy, and me are going to use our Strawberry Sundae Holiday to celebrate the life of a very good man; but you can celebrate whatever it is that is special to you too. Let us all have a Strawberry Sundae on July 7th - and celebrate some personal whatever. OK?

Be in touch - and enjoy your Strawberry Sundae Holiday - on July 7th! Devour something really delicious - and celebrate your own "whatever"!

Gently,

Francis William Bessler

P.S. On July 11th, a week from now, I plan to share my next religious column article for the local Laramie Boomerang. I call it JUST A DAD. Stay tuned for that - if you like. OK?

Hope you are celebrating this current national holiday today. We need to be very thankful for all the many veterans who have served so well to keep America free. Right?
