WILD FLOWERS - PHASE 1 Done!
April 1st, 2014

Hello, Everyone!

Nope!  It is not an April Fool's joke.  Yesterday, March 31st, I really did complete phase 1 of my WILD FLOWERS project.  Phase 1 was writing the thing.  Phase 2 will be trying to find publication for it; and Phase 3 will be actually publishing it.

Well, at least that is the plan.  Actually, for the most part, all that comprises WILD FLOWERS was already written because WILD FLOWERS is really only a compilation of blogs for the last year.  There is some new stuff in it, but not a lot.  It did take me some time to compile the work, though, because while I was compiling already written stuff, I was correcting and revising things as I went along.  The end is new, though.  It's an EPILOG I call I AM.  Maybe in time I will add I AM as a blog to my website too.  Time will tell.

Anyway, for what it's worth, WILD FLOWERS is completed as a written work.  It is 190 pages and features 44 Index entries of essays and songs + an Epilog and a few songs to finish the work.  Wish me luck on Phase 2 of the project - determining how I can print it or find someone else to print it.  A fellow senior here in Laramie, Wayne Karberg, suggested that I try Amazon.com.  He says they print books as they are ordered.  So maybe I can go that route.

I'd like to thank Wayne for replying to an earlier email and offering a suggestion on what I might do to actually "publish" WILD FLOWERS.  If anyone else has any ideas, feel welcome to pass them along.  OK?

When will Phase 2 begin?  I don't know.  I am currently practicing for a play that some fellow seniors here in Laramie will be performing from May 1st through May 4th.  I may wait to get into Phase 2 until after the play is done; but then again, I may jump into it once I have rested somewhat from finishing Phase 1.

I will say goodbye by featuring a bit of a song I wrote for my WILD FLOWERS project.  In a way, it summarizes the entire project - and my entire mind set in writing all the articles in it.

If there is one thing I know, it is that none of us know for sure what life is about - including me; but in just realizing that none of us know for sure about the life we are privileged to live, I am far ahead of many who are absolutely sure they know everything about it.  I have found in life that those who claim they "have no doubt" about the truths of life are more than often those who make it hard for everyone else - for in being sure they are right, they absolutely refuse to ponder the possibility they are wrong and do not hesitate to stomp over anyone in their path.  Insisting one is right very often ends in just plain Arrogance; and where there is Arrogance, there can never be peace.

Never mind the naysayers who are sure that life is a battle between good and evil.  As I argue in one of my articles, just looking at anything in life - like a sunflower - can suggest that is not true.  Where is the "good versus evil" in a sunflower?  Just look at a simple sunflower - and you can "know" that as there is "probably" no evil in a sunflower, neither can there "probably" be evil in anything at all; but if I see evil where there is none, then I will act accordingly - and, for me, evil will become a reality.  It is our insisting that life should be divided that allows us all to divide ourselves and make war upon one another.  For what is war, be it personal or national or international - but acting upon insisted divisions and "making sure" that you are a survivor and not a victim.  But while you are surviving, you are making victims of those you oppose - and becoming a victim of your insistence upon division yourself.  That I Believe.  How about you?

Bye for now!  Be in touch as you wish!

Gently,

A "wild flower" for WILD FLOWERS,

REFRAIN:

Wild Flowers - are so very pretty.

Wild Flowers - to help us see.

Wild Flowers - to inspire the soul.

Wild Flowers - to help us know.

If you want to know life,

then march up a hill.

Find a wild flower

and admire it until -

you've realized that Heaven

is where you are;

for Heaven, my friend,

is both near and far.  Refrain.

In a wild flower, my friend,

there is no sin.

Take some time to study it

and you'll always win.

Just look at it and know

it's full of majesty.

Put one in your hair

and you're a king or a queen.  Refrain.

The magic of a wild flower

is so very fine.

And where it grows,

life is so Divine.

So, consider yourself one

and love yourself in time;

and know that Eternity

is only a step behind.  Refrain.

ENDING:

Wild Flowers - are oh so sweet.

Wild Flowers - bloom Eternally.

Wild Flowers - so very pretty.

Wild Flowers - for you and me.

Yes, Wild Flowers - are for you and me.

Wild Flowers - for you and me.

Wild Flowers - for you and me.
