TREAT US ALL ALIKE!
4/17/2020

Hello, Everybody!

Just to share my latest letter to the editor to the Laramie Boomerang.
I will let it speak for itself. OK?

Hope all of you are doing fine. I must say I am one of the "lucky ones"
because having to stay in has not been an inconvenience,
for the most part. If it had not been for that "darn virus,"
I would not have tackled some other things - like reading, for example.
I am on my 3rd story that I included in a book I published in 2015
called FIVE HEAVEN ON EARTH STORIES. I know I wrote it,
but in reviewing it now, I can't remember doing that.
I mean I simply cannot remember writing those stories -
but I must say I sure am glad I did.
Now, it's like reading those stories for the first time for me -
and that somebody else wrote them; and I must say
I sure am enjoying what that "somebody" wrote.

If you are interested, you can fetch that book and 9 others
as well as 7 recently finished DVDs by putting in my name,
Francis Bessler, in the search bar for Amazon.com.
Be my guest!

Nancy and I bid you all well.
Enjoy as you can - and review my letter to the editor below too -
if you wish.

Bye for now! Nancy says: Love to All!

Gently,

Subject: TREAT US ALL ALIKE!

I have to notice that in this extreme time of stress due to the pressures of battling COVID-19 that some in this country – including our President – think it just fine for those states who can loosen guidelines be free to do so. For what it’s worth, I think those states that are doing well like us lucky ones in Wyoming should treat ourselves the same as those who aren’t among the lucky – simply for the sake of unity.

As I see it, these are the United States of America – and one of us should act like all of us – or all of us states should act like the one most hit. It is simply for the sake of unity that we do that. Look, we can all get through this mess one way or another, but in my opinion, we do not respect those in New York and Virginia and New Jersey to act like because we have less population than New York and Virginia and New Jersey that we can snub our noses at guidelines they must follow. It is just not right – and President Trump should know that. Is he the President of some states and not others? By treating some states different than other states, he is making for more division between us and not commending a call and practice for unity.

Yeah, we in Wyoming can act more freely than our fellow Americans in New York and Virginia and New Jersey if our governor relaxes the guidelines, but will it serve the cause of unity to do so? That is the question I would ask if I were Governor Gordon – and it is certainly the question I would ask if I were President Trump? I do believe that to relax guidelines for one state and not another is to further divide us – be it intentionally or unintentionally; and quite frankly, I am fond of the United States of America – not the Divided States of America.

Anyway, that is how this one “Unitarian” believes.
