Part 3 of 3

Joyful Happy Sounds!
Written Sept, 1971
Put your heart into your mouth.
I'd love to hear you, Spouse.
Come to me, Dear.
Tell me what I want to know.
Tell me that your world's aglow
and that you will always want me near.
If anything ever bothers you,
please don't let it keep you blue
for I will always be around.
You can always count on me, Love.
So, let's be a couple of turtle doves
and always make joyful happy sounds.
REFRAIN:
Oh, yes, My Dear,
whisper in my ear
what I want to hear
that you love me true -
just as I love you.
Put your hand in mine
and let us make our hearts entwine
as we greet each new tomorrow.
Let the world pass us by
if it wants to sit and cry.
In our lives, let their be little sorrow.
Let's embrace each other tightly
and not take our marriage lightly.
Let's caress each other now.
Let us hug and kiss and squeeze
and every possible moment seize
to strengthen our wonderful marriage vow.
Refrain.
So, if anything bothers you,
please don't let it keep you blue
for I will always be around.
You can always count on me, Love.
Let's be a couple of turtle doves
and always make joyful happy sounds.
I Wouldn't Know It
Written Feb, 1972
REFRAIN:
I wouldn't have known it
if you hadn't told me.
You say that you love me,
but where is your proof?
I wouldn't have known it
if you hadn't told me.
You say that you care,
but is it really true?
They say that love is simple and plain
and cannot be mistaken for an act.
They say that it's free and without constraint,
but listen, Dear,
these are the plain old facts.
Refrain.
Put your hand in mine if you care, My Dear,
let your sweetness freely flow.
Open your heart and let your love show.
If you care,
please let me know.
Refrain.
Please Forgive Me, Lord!
Written Feb, 1972
REFRAIN (1):
Please forgive me, Lord,
for I'm a sinful man.
I'm so sorry, Lord
that I don't do the best I can.
It seems I'm always
giving someone pain;
and I'm so sorry, Lord
that I might do it again.
I'd like to say that I'm weak, beyond will
and cannot help myself,
but I know that would be a lie
cause it wouldn't be the way I felt.
I realize You have given me a grace
that can only make me strong.
All I have to do is call on it
and I can do no wrong.
REFRAIN 2:
But forgive me, Lord,
I'm still a sinful man.
I'm so sorry, Lord,
another has me in his plan.
He's got me in his trap
and will not let me go;
and I'm so sorry, Lord,
my progress is so slow.
I know life should be a blessing, and a joy
and lived without regret,
but the first half of my life, I mourn -
and the other half, I fret.
I wake up each morning
resolved that I'll improve,
but I go to bed each night
thinking I was born to lose.
REFRAIN 3:
Please forgive me, Lord,
for I'm a sinful man.
I'm so sorry, Lord,
that I am the way I am.
But don't give up, Lord,
I may still turn out right;
but I'm so sorry, Lord,
that I'm not better tonight.
It's The World Of You
Written Feb, 1972
REFRAIN:
It's the world of you I care about.
It's the world of you that makes me shout.
It's the world of you that's right for me.
It's the world of you that's my blessing.
I want to hold you in my arms.
I want to share with you, your charms.
I want for you for me to crave.
I want for me with you to pray.
Refrain: with ending:
that's so pretty.
Others may have their Dears
and others may shed their tears.
All I want is for me to grow
more in love with you as I go.
Refrain: with ending:
that I want for me.
BRIDGE:
Come on, Honey, let's make love sounds
and make our world go round and round.
You can't but make a finer day
because you are always so willing
to love and play.
Refrain: with ending:
that I'll continue to see.
You know, My Love, I care for you.
You know my world is never blue.
You know for me there's no other one
that's half as gay and half as fun.
Refrain: with ending:
that's only for me.
Let Me Love You -
Just A Little
(A Duet:
A Wedding Proposal)
Written Feb, 1972
MALE REFRAIN:
Let me love you just a little.
Let me be your lovin man.
Let me love you just a little;
and I will love you all I can.
MALE:
Come on, Honey, Come to my side.
Don't you let a single moment go by.
You know you have nothing to fear.
You know I'll always want you near.
Male Refrain.
FEMALE:
OK, My Dear, I want to see
if you really do love me.
I hope you won't grow tired soon.
I want our life to be a honeymoon.
FEMALE REFRAIN:
I'll let you love me just a little.
I'll let you be my lovin man.
I'll let you love me just a little;
and you can love me all you can.
Musical Interlude.
MALE:
It's so good to be in love -
a wonderful blessing from Heaven above.
There's so much that we can do
to show each other our love is true.
Male Refrain.
FEMALE:
Yes, My Dear, I do agree
and I'll let you carry me
across a loving threshold
into a life that's free and bold.
Female Refrain.
Mutual Refrain:
with male singing his part
and female singing hers.
And that concludes
