STILL ALIVE! - With Song: Hello, My Love!
November 2nd, 2017
Hello, Everyone!
Just because you are dead does not mean you are not still alive! I do believe that death is only a passage way to another existence - whatever that existence is; and it makes no sense to me whatever that when we die, we just go into oblivion. That might make sense to some, but it makes no sense to me - partly because I sense that when I came into this world, I came into it as a previous soul, so to speak. Thus if I came into this world as a "previous soul," then it just makes sense that I will exist as a "current soul" wherever I go next. So it simply behooves me to always live my life like I will have to inherit a "current me" wherever I might go.
With that, Brother Nick passed into his "current next stage" last December 7th. Consider him - or his soul - then to be a baby in a next world. Today, Brother Nick would have turned 81 - had he lived on. But my dear brother passed away before he could reach 81. No big deal the way I see it. Nick is simply bathing in a new experience somewhere - and maybe right back here on Earth. We do not know where death leads. None of us do; but I do believe we can be sure that wherever we go, we will have to inherit "the one we left behind."
And, Oh, what a delight of a thought that is! Don't you agree?
I wrote a song a few years ago that I would like to share with you now. I was walking in a park in Boulder, Colorado when to my astonishing eyes, something totally unexpected happened. She was just a lady walking toward me. I thought the bundle she held closely to her breast was some kind of keepsake. I did not expect a baby nursing at her breast. She could have considered me a bit of a nut for taking an interest in what she held, but that dear one smiled broadly and let me look. Wow! What I saw was Terrific! Her lovely breast was attached to a dear little one. How about that?
That dear little one could have been one like my "Brother Nick" - or even one like me - beginning again with a new life. Pardon me, but I can't help but see me or Brother Nick as every baby that is starting anew. I do believe that if we humans took the time to think about it, we would come to the same conclusion. No Baby - or Mother's Breast - is anything other than a miracle. If we all saw life that way, how could we treat it as anything other than Blessed? And as we go, thinking about the Blessedness of All, how in the world could we bow to make harm on anything or anyone who shares in that Blessedness. You tell me!
With that, let me leave you with the song I wrote that day when I encountered that Lovely Lady walking in a park in Boulder, Colorado. I was there because I had taken a dear friend, Chris, to a doctor; and while awaiting for Chris to be treated, I walked around a nearby park. Oh, what wonders happen every day - if only we open our eyes and see them!
Bye for now!

(A true story from a real walk in the park)
REFRAIN:
Hello, My Love, it’s good to see you.
Hello, My Love, it’s good to be.
Hello, My Love, it’s good to know you.
Hello, My Love, let’s be free.
As I was walking in a park one day,
I passed a walking lady,
holding a bundle to her chest.
Then I peeked in and saw a little baby
feeding oh so gently at her breast.
Refrain.
I asked the walking lady
about the child that she held.
Smiling, she thanked me for my care.
I can’t tell you
the good feeling that I felt,
knowing that life is ours to share.
Refrain.
She told me it is Lilly
when I asked the baby’s name.
Cheering, I told her that it fit.
Then we parted and went our separate ways,
giving me a memory I won’t forget.
Refrain.
Repeat 1st verse – then Refrain (3).
