Farewell, Friend Bob! & Letter to Editor
5/4/24
Hello, Y'all!
We memorialized an old friend my age (82) yesterday
at our local Trinity Lutheran Church.
Bob Middleton had to put up with impacts from Polio all his life,
but finally succumbed to it in January.
In a small way, let me offer my Twitter Tweet of the day
in his memory:
It's such a simple thing
to follow my own heart.
All I have to do
is to pay attention from the start.
Let me look at my life
and know that it is good
because God is in it,
we're all one great brotherhood.

And now, let me share my current Letter to the Editor
and say no more. Thank God,
I try to pay much more attention to the contents of my tweet
than to my current Letter To Editor -
which may or may not be printed by our local Laramie Boomerang,
but which I submitted to them on May 2nd.
Have a Good One!
Gently,
Francis William Bessler (Frank, Will)

SUBJECT: IS TRUMP TELLING THE TRUTH?
Currently, I am somewhat caught up with the ongoing trial
of former president, Donald Trump, with a prosecution
arguing about some “falsifying business records” or some such – related to the de-facto effort of Trump’s main magazine supporter, The National Inquirer, intentionally helping to suppress any considered negative reports about Donald Trump ahead of the 2016 Presidential Election.
Supposedly, The National Inquirer agreed to “catch and kill” any potential article that may reflect negatively on their prized candidate, Donald Trump. I am not sure about how any of that “catch and kill” thing can occur – especially on how any subject of such a process could agree to “sell” a story to a magazine and not “demand” it be included in the magazine that supposedly “bought” it. Why would a Playmate, Karen McDougal, or a Pornstar, Stormy Daniels, enter into an agreement to have their stories bought by The National Inquirer, expecting them to be published and not insist they are published? I do not understand; but, in fact, supposedly Karen and Stormy “sold” articles to The National Inquirer to be published – and somehow allowed later to have them suppressed.
But that which is really important about this story is that Donald Trump was a subject of both Karen’s and Stormy’s articles,
claiming that Donald had extra-marital “exploits” with both of them – but then Donald had the audacity to keep them hidden from a voting public. For me, such deceit is outrageous. I expect my candidates to tell about themselves so I can assess their exploits to be relevant or not to my voting for or against them.
The trial goes on. Donald claims he had so such exploits; but let me hear from Karen and Stormy to hear their sides of such a story. Personally, all the other aspects of this trial are of very little importance. I want to know if Donald is telling the truth. If one intentionally lies in one event, how can you expect them to tell the truth in any case? Tell me that! If truth means as much to you as it does to me, why support a liar?
